Are you the parent carer of a child with a disability/additional need in St. Helens? Listen 4 Change is the name of your Parent Carer Forum. The Forum is supported by St Helens Carers Centre although it is set up as a independent body governed by the Parent Carers. The Forum is very informal and meets in the daytime and evening 8 times a year. The Forum is open to all parent carers within the St. Helens area.

Our key aims are:

  • To provide parent carers with information about the services they need to support them and their families
  • To ensure that parents voices are heard and that they are listened to when shaping, developing and commissioning local services

    How do we do this?

  • By holding regular Forum meetings where parents can come together to share their advice, experience and knowledge with each other
  • By inviting Lead Professionals along who can inform parents about the services available locally and also gather parents views to help shape, develop and commission future services

Please see our latest newsletter with updates on local services - click here

An opportunity to meet other parent carers in a relaxed setting for a cuppa and a chat, facilitated by Listen 4 Change steering group members. All Friday Coffee sessions take place at The Carers Club House, Training Suite, Ground Floor Fishwick House, 18 Cotham Street, St Helens (ground floor of young carers centre). As soon as we have dates for our next forum, we will post details here!
