RESPITE, HOLIDAY AND CARER BREAKS - click here to read information click here to open printable document BETTER CARING - www.bettercaring.com - This site allows people to search for day care, respite care and long term care facilities in their area. The search can be made specific by adding special needs criteria such as Dementia or physical disabilities. It also covers issues important when making care choices and supporting someone who is using care facilities. CROSSROADS - 612499 - provide respite for Carers in the home DOMESTIC SERVICE PROVIDERS - Click here to open list. You would need to negotiate with individual providers the length of calls and the services you require PALLIATIVE CARE SERVICES -
PSS SHORT BREAKS SERVICE - 0151 281 0942 - Family support service. This is provided in the form of Adult Placements, where a person goes to stay with a family in their own home, for breaks ranging in length and frequency. All placement families receive support from PSS and are fully screened and trained. It is possible for couples to have a break together, which may be husband and wife, parent and son/daughter, partners.
